Fiorentina have confirmed they have received an offer from Roma for striker Adrian Mutu.
Mutu has been linked with a move away from Florence this summer and the rumours have refused to go away even though the 29-year-old said last week he wanted to end his career with the Viola.
'The Giallorossi have informed us that they want to acquire Adrian,' said Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino.
'We will evaluate the situation. Our philosophy is not to have a player in the team who is unhappy, especially if he is 30.'
Mutu, who was Fiorentina's top scorer last season and is under contract until the end of the 2010/11 campaign, requested a pay rise earlier in the summer.ESPN
