ROME, Sept 14 (Reuters) - AC Milan lost 2-0 at Genoa on Sunday for their second consecutive defeat in Serie A after losing to promoted Bologna in the opening match.

Giuseppe Sculli struck in the first half and Diego Milito converted a stoppage-time penalty.

The result increases the pressure on coach Carlo Ancelotti following Milan's disappointing fifth-place finish last season and an embarrassing 2-0 defeat at second-division Swiss side Lugano in a friendly on Wednesday....

MILAN, September 2 (UEFA Cup) - Defender Alessandro Nesta has been left out of AC Milan's squad for the UEFA Cup.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has chosen 10 defenders in the 25-man roster, including veteran captain Paolo Maldini, but Nesta is not among them.

The 32-year-old has struggled with injury in recent campaigns, and is recovering from a back problem.

Ricardo Quaresma has described his delight at sealing a deadline-day move from Porto to reigning Serie A champions Internazionale.

The Portugal winger on Monday put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the San Siro to end a summer of speculation over his future.

'It's a dream come true for me,' said Quaresma. 'In all this time I have always hoped that the negotiations would be successful and now I am delighted.'

Quaresma joined Inter for a fee that could rise to €30.6 million, making the 24-year-old the most expensive arrival in Serie A this summer.

And Quaresma is determined to become an integral part of coach Jose Mourinho's plans.

'Whether physically or psychologically, my condition is optimum,' he said.

AC Milan have confirmed that Andriy Shevchenko has completed his return to the club after passing a medical at their Milanello training complex.

The Ukraine forward touched down in Italy late on Sunday night after Chelsea agreed terms with the Serie A side on Saturday on a deal to take Shevchenko back to Milan - the club he represented for seven seasons between 1999 and 2006.

The deal was only awaiting a medical but a Milan spokesman confirmed on Monday evening that the 31-year-old had come through it successfully.

Shevchenko endured a difficult two years in London following a big-money transfer from the Rossoneri, finding the net just nine times in two Premier League campaigns.

But after completing his return to the Italian side - where he remains the club's second all-time top goalscorer - the forward was quick to thank the Chelsea followers for their support.

'I'm so very happy to be here,' he told the Milan website. 'At this very special moment for me, I really want to send a message to the Chelsea fans who in the past two years have always made me feel their support.

ROME, August 14 (Serie A) - Roma and Real Madrid have agreed a fee for the transfer of Brazil forward Julio Baptista to the Eternal City.

The two clubs have agreed a fee of nine million euros, plus up to a further two million if the 26-year-old plays a certain number of games and helps his new team into the Champions League.

The Brazil international, nicknamed 'The Beast' because of his physical strength, has agreed a four-year contract with the Serie A runners-up.

Giallorossi boss Luciano Spalletti confirmed his interest in the South American at the weekend, when his team were in London for a pre-season friendly at Tottenham.

'It's true, the club is trying to land Julio Baptista,' said Spalletti before his side's 5-0 defeat at White Hart Lane.

'We believe that the potential of Baptista would be useful for us and the club are trying to land him.

'But we are very calm, expecting that anything could happen.
