E-mail Print
The defeated Croatian squad will be get a 6.25 million-euro (9.7 million-dollar) bonus for reaching the Euro 2008 quarter-finals, the country's football association said Monday.

Depending on the number of matches played and minutes in the field, each player will be awarded up to 300,000 euros (465,000 dollars), the same sum that will be given to coach Slaven Bilic, said the association.

The other half of the 12.5 million-euro bonus to be allocated by European football's governing body UEFA will be kept by the football association.

On Friday, Turkey equalised with the last kick of the match -- Croatia had scored a minute from the end of extra-time -- and then won 3-1 on penalties.
