Spain managed to add another win in the Euro 2008 which is taking them closer to the next round. Compared to the game against Russia where Spain walked away with an easy 4:1 win but with Sweden Spain needed to sweat a lot more to win.
Spain's Fernando Torres (Liverpool) opened the scoring in the 15th minute only for Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Inter Milan) to level the score in the 35th minute. After Ibrahimovic's goal we saw more attacking football from Sweden which had a few chances to take the lead. Spain then managed to take the initiative the final 10 minutes of the game and as we were ready for a draw, Spain's David Villa came out of nowhere and scored a goal in the dying seconds of the match to give Spain 3 valuable points. Spain awaits to see the outcome of Greece vs Russia match where anything but a Greece win will clinch the first spot in group d for Spain.
UPDATE: Spain is in the quarter finals as Russia defeated Greece 1:0 with Zyrianov's goal in the 33rd minute.
